Description

The Brigg monument is a chest tomb located about 17 metres south of the nave of the Church of St Nicholas. It dates from the mid-17th century and is made of Ham stone. The base is buried, and the tomb features plain ends and a south flank, while the north flank has two semi-circular arched panels with imposts. It has a heavy flat top with cyma-recta coving. The monument commemorates Elizabeth, daughter of Wordington Brigg, who died in 1668. A memorial in the Church of St Nicholas refers to Worthington Brice.
