Description
Gate piers and gate located 2 metres west of Williton Lodge were constructed in 1850 and designed by John Norton. They are made of cast iron. The gate piers are octagonal with shallow moulded pyramid caps, a neck band, and a cavetto moulded plinth. The gate features standards with five bays, simple finials, and horizontal bars that are reinforced with a curved cross piece. There is a central band of simple decorations that match the design found at Church Lodge and Stowey Lodge. This structure is listed primarily for its group value with Williton Lodge.
