House. Circa 1810. Render grooved as ashlar over brick, shallow pitched hipped slate roof behind parapet without cornice, brick stacks at rear. Double pile. Three storeys, 3 bays; upper 2 storeys full height recessed segmental headed panels containing 12-pane sashes second floor, first floor left 2 pairs of French windows, centre pair with diamond paned light above, 15-pane sash window right, fronted by 7-bay wooden arcade, semi-circular headed arches except for pointed arches in outer bays and on glazed returns, circles in spandrels, resting on 5-bay semi-circular headed arched open loggia, of rendered brick, square headed returns, central pair of half glazed double doors flanked by 2 semi-circular headed blind niches. Left return, moulded cornice below parapet, irregular fenestration, 2-storey canted bay towards rear with 16-pane sash windows above C20 French windows. Interior not seen, said to contain good stair, Said by present owners (December 1984) to have been built for Lord Portman's agent. Occupies a prominent position on the hillside looking across the Vale of Taunton. In poor condition at time of survey.
