Description
Ebenezer Chapel is a Non-conformist chapel built in 1825 and altered in the mid-19th century. It features a rendered facade with Knapp stone lias random rubble returns and a pyramid slate roof, which has a gabled parallel range at the rear. The chapel has a single cell plan, entered under a gallery that likely encloses three sides, with a vestry and reading room located at the rear.
The building is two storeys high and has three bays with pointed arch, two-light windows that include marginal glazing bars and coloured glass. The central entrance consists of folding double doors topped with a fanlight that also has marginal glazing bars and coloured glass. The porch has a pyramid slate roof and features an arched opening to an entablature supported by circular stone piers set on tall painted square plinths. Above the entrance is a tablet inscribed with "I Sam VII.XII EBENEZER CHAPEL 1825". On the right return, there are three bays with pointed arch windows, a bulls-eye window in the gable end to the right, and a square-headed doorway.
