Description
No. 5 Langham Place is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick with a pantile roof featuring coped verges and brick end stacks. The building has a symmetrical frontage with two storeys and three bays. It features 16-pane sash windows of slightly differing sizes set in bead-moulded stone surrounds, except for the central opening on the first floor, which has a plain stone surround. The central door opening is framed by a plain block surround and contains a four-panelled door, with the top two panels being glazed. Above the door is a flat wooden hood supported by scrolled wooden brackets. To the left, there is a single-storey outshut with a triple-Roman tile roof and a low brick ridge stack. Additionally, there is a 19th-century eight-pane shop front with a vertical plank door in a plain surround.
