Description
No. 1C Holyrood Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It was built in the early 18th century and has undergone alterations in the late 19th and 20th centuries. The exterior features stucco with painted stone architraves and a cornice, topped by a slate roof. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with three windows across the front. The ground floor has shop fronts dating from around 1980. On the first floor, to the left, there are two 2/2-pane sash windows set in forward frames with moulded surrounds and keystones, while to the right, there is a canted bay with 2/2-pane windows. All of this is topped by a continuous moulded cornice, and the eaves are projecting and panelled. The interior has not been inspected.
