Description
Little Portion is a house dating to around the 18th century, although an earlier core may exist, with 19th and 20th-century alterations. The exterior is rough-plastered and whitewashed, with a thatched roof and two brick stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a 1:1:1 bay arrangement. It features 3-light, 19th-century-style casement windows with wooden lintels on the ground floor. A door opening is situated between the second and third bays, with a porch supported by a thatched bonnet hood and a reproduction ribbed outer door. A 20th-century metal garage door is located on the extreme right. It is believed the building may have once been divided into several dwellings. Its important roadside position contributes to its group value.
