Description
The Cottage is a house with an origin in the 16th century, substantial work from the 17th century, and an alteration in the early to mid-20th century. It is built with roughcast render, double-Roman tiles, and a roof composed of two distinct pitches, with end brick stacks. The house is single-storied with an attic, featuring three bays. It has early 20th-century three-light casement windows, except for a French window on the left of the ground floor. The door opening is offset to the right of centre and is protected by a small, 19th-century hipped-roofed porch with a half-glazed door. A single-story lean-to with a hipped roof extends to the left of the ground floor. Inside, there are features of interest, including a stud and panel partition, ceiling beams, a panelled ceiling, fireplaces, and ornamental plasterwork to the first floor.
