Description
Nos. 4 and 6 East Street are a pair of cottages built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from Ham stone ashlar, which is cut and squared on the sides and back. The cottages feature a double roof covered with double Roman clay tiles, complete with overhangs and decorated bargeboards on the gables. There are brick chimney stacks located at the rear. The buildings are two stories tall with an attic, and each has one gabled bay at the front. The ground floor has small pane casement windows with three lights, while the first and second floors have two-light windows. There are plain doors positioned between the windows. The interiors have not been seen. These cottages are included for the variety they contribute to an interesting group in the center of the village.
