Description
The base of a churchyard cross, likely from the 15th century, is located in the churchyard about 12 metres west of the nave of the Church of St. Andrew. It is made of ham stone and features a circular base that is nearly 3 metres in diameter and 550mm high. The base is set on a chamfered plinth with a pronounced nosing, followed by two steps, each with a rise of 150mm and a width of 200mm. The socket for the cross measures about 800mm square and 375mm high, with broached corners at the top. There is also a small fragment of the shaft, which is octagonal in shape.
