Description

The entrance stairway to the undercroft of Enmore Castle, located in the grounds of No. 1 Enmore Castle and adjacent to the west end of the Church of St Michael, dates before 1779 and was commissioned by John Perceval, Earl of Egmont. It provides access between the undercroft of Enmore Castle and the Church of St Michael. The stairway is circular, featuring stone steps with nosings set upon brick bases, some of which are decayed.
