Description
Manor Farmhouse, dating from the 17th century with 19th-century alterations, is constructed of rubble and features a triple-Roman tile roof, along with one rubble and two brick stacks. The building is designed in an L-plan and has two storeys with attics. It has five bays, with the first, third, and fourth bays under gables, and the fourth bay projecting. The windows include 2 and 3-light casements, with paired sash windows featuring marginal lights in the right bay; the ground floor sash window has a cornice supported by brackets. There are two door openings: the right one has a pent-roofed porch supported by twin Tuscan columns and a four-panelled door, while the left side features a vertical plank door. At the rear, there is a projecting stable wing with casements, two broad plank doors, and two additional openings with narrow divided plank doors. Inside, the first-floor center room includes a plaster overmantel featuring the arms of the Horner family surrounded by scroll decoration.
