Description

This is a mid-18th century house, later used as a shop. It is located on Holyrood Street in Chard. The exterior is painted brick with painted stone platbands and keystones. The second floor has slate-hanging, and the roof is slate with a brick stack to the gable end. The building is two storeys with an attic, originally featuring a two-window front, but now with three windows to the second floor. There are two fretted gabled dormers and a fretted bargeboard to the left gable. The windows are mid-19th century two/two-pane sashes. A mid-19th century shopfront is present, including a central door for the shop and an entrance to the upper storeys to the left. The interior remains uninspected.
