Description

3 Castle Street is a late 17th-century building with an early 19th-century front. It is slightly set back and features two storeys made of coursed and dressed rubble, topped with a pantile roof. There is a stone chimney on the left side. The front has one window with paired glazing bar sashes beneath wooden lintels, and a small pane on the first floor. The ground floor, dating from around 1840, has a door to the right. At the rear, there is a 2½ storey extension that is contemporary with the main building and includes a cellar. Inside, there are 19th-century fittings, including door handles, and a winder staircase that angles with the extension.
