Description
The Old Rectory is a former rectory built in the early 19th century, with modifications made in the early 20th century. It is constructed of local greensand stone that is rendered on the west elevation and features a fish-scale clay tile roof with ornamental bargeboards on the gables, along with rendered chimney stacks. The building has a 'T'-plan layout and consists of two storeys with four bays, where the first bay projects. It includes a plinth and exposed rafter ends, with a margined two-light casement window above margined French doors under a fanlight in bay one. The other windows are mullioned and transomed leaded metal casement windows. There is a projecting gabled porch with a part-glazed door in bay three, and a segmental arched doorway set in a recess on the north wing wall of the house. The interior has not been seen.
