Description
The stables and coachhouse to Orchardlea House were built in 1856 by T. H. Wyatt. They are constructed from coursed and squared rubble with a slate roof. The building features a central enclosed courtyard that is accessed through a double archway. The road-facing side has two storeys with five bays, each topped by a coped gable. The largest gable has a semi-circular archway with a chamfered stone surround and a prominent keystone. The narrow casement windows, which have glazing bars, are set in chamfered stone surrounds, with the outer openings on the first floor arranged in pairs. A weathered impost band runs the entire length of the frontage. To the right, there is a single-storey wing that consists of one bay. The courtyard at the rear is designed in a similar style.
