Description

The lime kilns, now disused, date from the early 19th century and are constructed from red sandstone and slate. They are situated on an L-shaped site built into the hillside and feature buttresses. The pair of kilns on the right has been partially filled in and has a corrugated iron canopy in front. The right-hand kiln has three arches that project forward and is in good condition. Behind a low parapet, there is a chimney projection that is three feet high, made of ended slates.
