Description
Castlebrook House is a house built around 1820, constructed from Doulting ashlar stone. It features a moulded cornice and a parapet with coping, topped by a slate roof and coped verges. The house has a symmetrical facade with two storeys and three bays, showcasing 12-pane sash windows set in reveals, which are accented by slightly emphasised voussoirs and a keystone above. The central door opening is framed by an open ashlar flat-roofed porch, supported by four square piers and featuring later glazing on the sides. The door itself is a six-panelled design, with the top two panels being glazed. To the left, there is a one-bay wing that is lower in height, which includes a half dormer with sash windows and double plank doors below. The left-hand stack has been restored.
