Description
The Procktor family chest tomb, dating from the 17th century, is located in the churchyard about 6 meters southwest of the porch of the Church of St George. This chest tomb is made of Ham stone and features a flat top that has been damaged with square holes randomly excavated. It has a cyma recta moulded cornice and a moulded plinth. On the north and south sides, there are inserted strips of lias beside inscribed panels, with the name Procktor barely legible. The west end shows signs of scaling. This tomb forms a pair with another Procktor chest tomb nearby.
