Description

Mount Pleasant and Friar Cottage are a pair of semi-detached cottages dating from the 18th century. They are constructed from coursed and squared rubble, with a first floor band and thatched roofs, featuring end brick stacks. The cottages are two storeys high and have two and three-light casement windows from the 19th and 20th centuries, which include glazing bars. There are two door openings with plank doors. It is possible that these cottages were originally a single dwelling. They serve as a notable feature along the roadside.
