Description
Fivehead Baptist Chapel is a Baptist chapel built in 1860 and enlarged in 1869. It is constructed of coursed and squared lias stone and lias rubble, with brick dressings and slate roofs that feature brackets at the eaves. The main structure is a rectangular hall, with a later school room wing at the rear, creating a T-shaped plan. The main entrance front consists of two bays, featuring pointed-arch casements with Gothick glazing in the heads, and similar windows on the sides. The rear wing has sash windows with glazing bars. The porch has paired plank doors, likely added later, with a pointed-arch transom light and Gothick glazing. Inside the chapel, there are original features such as a central plaster rosette on the ceiling, painted texts on the walls, and memorials, along with pews.
