Description

There are two stone coffins located in the churchyard about 5 metres south of the chancel, against the boundary wall of the Church of St Mary. These coffins are likely from the 13th or 14th century and are made of Doulting stone. Each coffin consists of a single stone that has been hollowed out with shaped recesses for the head and shoulders. The lids of the coffins are not present.
