Description
The churchyard cross, dating from the 15th century, is located approximately 10 metres south of the nave of the Church of St Gregory. It is made of dressed stone and features a square base consisting of four steps. The cross has an octagonal socket and a tapering octagonal shaft. At the top, there is a restored crocketted pinnacle that supports a figure of the Virgin and Child. This information is referenced in Pooley's "Old Crosses of Somerset," published in 1877.
