Description

The Packhorse Bridge, dating from the 17th to 18th century, is located on the roadside at the National Grid Reference ST 4983 5571 in Charterhouse, Priddy. This bridge is constructed from rubble and features a low segmental archway that spans a stream, with rough hewn voussoirs. The approaches to the bridge are elevated and supported by random rubble retaining walls. The bridge itself has a surface of stone setts and does not have any parapets.
