Description
Blackers Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, with alterations and additions from the 17th century, as well as work from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of random rubble and has a double-Roman tile roof with coped verges and brick stacks. The building has a T-plan layout and the entrance front is two storeys high, featuring a layout of 2:1:1 bays. The ground floor includes two and three-light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned windows with drips. There is a central 20th-century gabled porch with two-light reproduction stone-mullioned windows and an inner glazed door. At the rear, there is a wing that roughly conforms to the style of the main building. Inside, there are notable features such as fireplaces set in moulded freestone surrounds.
