Description

The Edward Fryer Chest Tomb, dated 1824, is located in the churchyard 16 metres northwest of the tower of the Church of St. Leonard in Norton St. Philip, Farleigh Hungerford. This chest tomb features a plinth and top made of Forest of Dean stone. It has a plain, flat plinth and corner pilasters adorned with a crossed torch and leaf motif in relief, along with moulded panels and a plain hipped top. The tomb is dedicated to Edward Fryer, a local physician, and Ann Fryer.
