Description
Andrew's Farm is a detached farmhouse with attached farm buildings, dating from the 18th century or earlier, and has been modified over time. It is constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, and features a thatched roof with plain gables and a brick chimney stack. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three bays. The first bay contains a 16-pane sash window set beneath a chamfered timber lintel, with no window above it. The second and third bays each have cross-glazed 2-light casement windows, also with chamfered lintels. Between the second and third bays, there is a 6-panelled door framed heavily.
On the northwest side, there are two extensions; the first has a continuation of the thatched roof and features full-height boarded stable-type doors, likely from the 18th century. The second extension has a slightly lower roof covered with clay tiles, and the front wall of both extensions is rendered. The interiors have not been seen.
In front of the house, there are wrought iron railings with spear tops, set on a low plinth. The railings feature curved braced standards with cast-iron finials, and there are matching gates with double semi-circular braces.
