Description

Aller Hill Cottage is a detached cottage, likely built in the 18th century. It is constructed of cob, which is rendered and colourwashed, and features a thatched roof with plain gables and a brick chimney stack. The cottage has an 'L' plan, with the northern portion being a late 20th-century extension designed to match the original structure. The west elevation has two storeys and three bays. The first bay includes 20th-century plain casement windows on both levels, with a part-glazed door to the right. The second and third bays have 2-light casements, with the upper pair being very small and featuring vertical iron bars inside. Between the lower casements is a 20th-century casement window set in a former doorway. The interior has not been seen.
