Description
The Old Pound Inn, formerly known as the White Lion Inn, is an inn that dates back to at least the early 19th century. It features a façade made of ham stone ashlar, with rendered sides and a Welsh slate roof that has stepped coped gables. The building has two storeys and is composed of three bays. It includes a plinth and plain end pilasters, with 20-pane sash windows set in plain openings that have voussoired heads. The central entrance consists of a 6-panel door situated in a plain recess, although the fanlight above it has been covered over. There are 20th-century windows in the southwest gable, and a low two-storey extension to the northeast that includes garage doors and 20th-century casement windows, all beneath a triple roll clay tile roof. Additional 20th-century extensions can be found at the rear. The interior has not been seen.
