Description

The building at 10 Silver Street is a parish council rooms, later converted into offices, constructed in 1887. It is built of red sandstone with squared random rubble masonry, featuring Ham stone dressings on the ground floor and half-timbering on the first floor. The roof is tiled, with a brick stack on the left side.

The building is two storeys high and has two bays. The ground floor has a five-light mullion window with leaded casements. Above this, a gabled oriel window projects, supported on corbels and featuring bargeboards to the gable. The entrance is a chamfered, square-headed doorway with a sidelight and a ledge and plank door fitted with fleur-de-lis ended strap hinges. The collar beam prominently displays the inscription "VR 1887."
