Description

The Statue of Captain Cook is a bronze statue mounted on an ashlar plinth, erected in 1912 by Sir Gervase Beckett. The sculptor of the statue is John Tweed. It features a label that reads 'James Cook RN 1728-1779,' along with a crest. On the rear of the statue, there is a relief depicting his ship, the 'Resolution.'
