Description

The Plague Cross is a stone cross base with a later milestone inscription, accompanied by a stone trough for disinfected water. It features an octagonal shaft set on a low chamfered plinth. This structure is traditionally linked to the plague of 1604, when it is believed to have served as a barter location outside the village, where food was left and money was deposited in the trough.
