Description

The Mount, located approximately 100 metres to the west of Cowling Hall, is a structure that includes a wall enclosing a small field and a small 1-storey building at the north-west corner. The wall dates from the 12th century and the building from the 17th century. It is constructed of rubblestone, and the building features carved and moulded stonework. Above the building, there are two semicircular-headed windows. Throughout the boundary wall, dressed stone can be seen at various points, indicating the presence of former doorways.
