Description
34 and 35 Cliff Street are early 19th century buildings that stand three storeys tall and are constructed of brick with a pantile roof. Each building features two windows with flush moulded frames and stone arches on the ground and first floors, although the glazing is mostly modern. The buildings have stone kneelers, and number 34 has a rendered ground floor with stone rustication on the right-hand quoin. Both buildings have two doors with six fielded panels, an open pediment, and three grooved pilasters. Number 34 includes an inset foot scraper, while number 35 has a pedimented doorcase with grooved pilasters and a blocked ornamental fanlight, along with one stone step. These buildings are noted for their doorcase and their contribution to the overall street scene.
