Description
The Old Hall is an early 18th-century house located on the north side of the B6267 in Ainderby Quernhow. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a plain-tile roof. The building has two storeys and five bays, with the central bay projecting forward. This central bay includes a wide four-panel door beneath a lintel and fanlight with glazing bars, all framed by a moulded architrave that has a plinth, imposts, and a double keystone.
The windows throughout the house are sashes with glazing bars, flush wood architraves, stone sills, and flat arches that feature stepped tripartite keystones. The central bay is adorned with a pediment and an eaves band. The building also has shaped kneelers, stone coping, and end stacks. The side returns display sashes with glazing bars, stone sills, and flat brick arches with keystones.
