Description
The Queen's Head is a public house located on Finghall Village Street, dating from the late 17th to early 18th century. It is constructed of roughcast rubble with a stone slate roof and stands two storeys high, featuring a rear outshut and two first-floor windows arranged in a 2:1 pattern. The main block has a central 20th-century part-glazed gabled single-storey porch that leads to a board door. The building includes 4-pane sash windows and ashlar end stacks. To the right, there is a lower range with a canted bay window on the ground floor and a 2-light window on the first floor, along with a brick stack at the right end. Further to the right is a single-storey extension that is not of special interest. Inside the main block on the ground floor, there is an arched ingle beam over the fireplace at the right end, along with crudely-chamfered cross beams and joists. The building is included for its group value.
