Description
Nos 33 to 36 on Westgate have origins dating back to the 18th century. The buildings are two storeys tall, constructed from coursed stone, and topped with a pantile roof featuring four brick stacks.
No 33 includes two semi-dormers and has two six-light mullion windows on the ground floor, along with a divided door that also features a wood lintel. No 34 has a modern four-light mullion and transom window above a six-light window, with a wood lintel extending over a plain door. No 35 features a new semi-dormer and has been heavily repointed; its ground floor includes a three-light window and a glazed door, both with cement lintels. No 36 is painted white and has two four-light mullion and transom windows on each floor, with wood lintels over the ground floor windows and a glazed door.
These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 22, 23A and 23B, and Nos 24 to 29, along with several others, which are of local interest.
