Description

This is a row of red brick houses built around 1830 to 1840, located on Falsgrave Road. The houses are two storeys high with a basement, and each has two windows on the first floor. A distinctive feature is the wide, segmental bow window on the basement and ground floor, fitted with tripartite sash windows. These windows all retain their original glazing bars. Each house has a door consisting of six fielded panels, set within a doorcase of panelled pilasters and an entablature. The roofs are covered with slate. The properties, along with numbers 29 to 73 (odd) and the front walls of numbers 29 to 45 (odd), are designated as a group, reflecting their collective architectural character and contribution to the streetscape.
