Description
Springfield Farm House is a late 18th-century house, with alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of orange brick in a loose English garden wall bond, with the front face rendered and whitewashed. The roof is covered in pantiles. The house has a two-storey, five-window front. The left side of the front has a part-glazed door, with twelve-pane sashes on either side. Towards the right end is a three-light, twenty-four-pane horizontal sliding sash window, and a small-pane window has been inserted at the far right end. The first-floor windows are unequal twelve-pane sashes, each with louvred shutters. A raised dentilled eaves band runs along the top. A chimney stack is located towards the centre of the right side. The building is included on the list for its group value. A garage extension on the left side is not considered to have special architectural interest.
