Description

The house, garden wall, gate, and railings date from the 18th century. The house is constructed of mottled plum brick in an English garden wall bond, with a timber doorcase and a slate roof. It is a two-story, two-window front building. A segmental carriage arch is located at the left of the front door. The front door features six raised and fielded panels, beneath a patterned overlight, recessed in a corniced doorcase with panelled reveals. A canted bay window is to the right, with a 16-pane front sash, cornice, and flat roof. The first-floor windows are 16-pane sashes with painted stone sills; the left window is positioned above the carriage arch. A raised eaves band and scrolled angle brackets are present. A stack with a cogged brick band at the peak of the roof is hipped on the right. The garden wall is approximately 0.50 metres high, stepping up to approximately 1.25 metres and ramping up to approximately 1.75 metres, with sloped coping. The gate and railings feature spear tips, and the gate posts and standards have urn and pomegranate finials.
