Description
The walls surrounding Brafferton Hall, located to the east, west, and south of the hall, are likely from the early to mid-18th century, with some sections rebuilt in the 19th century. They are constructed of reddish-brown local brick and feature buttresses at regular intervals. The coping is stepped and cogged, with a sloping upper section of bricks laid on the face, topped with a ridge course. There is a segmental arched entrance to the Church of St Peter from the hall, which includes a panelled wooden door. The wall ramps up on either side of the doorway and is adorned with brick pedestals that have stone ball finials.
