Description

Helperby House is a mid-19th century house on the west side of Main Street in Helperby. The house is built of pale brown brick with a Welsh slate roof and end brick chimneys. It is two storeys high and has three bays. A stone staircase leads to the central entrance, which incorporates a panelled door, an oblong fanlight, pilasters, panelled reveals, and a soffit. The windows are sash windows with very shallow segmental arches, glazing bars, and margin lights, set within flat gauged brick arches and stone cills. The house is listed partly for group value considerations.
