Description
Darley Mill House is a house dated 1767, constructed with roughcast and featuring a graduated stone slate roof. It has two storeys and three bays. The entrance includes a six-panel door set in an architrave with a keystone and a broken pediment that encloses the inscription 'H C'. The windows have stone surrounds throughout; on the ground floor, there are two lights with 9-pane fixed frames flanking the door, along with a 4-pane sash window on the far right. The first floor features two 4-pane sash windows and one 16-pane sash window. The house has shaped kneelers and gable copings, with stacks located at the end and on the ridge between the second and third bays. Inside, the parlour on the far right has a moulded fire surround and window shutters, and there are stone stairs against the back wall opposite the entrance.
