Description
Providence Chapel is a chapel dated 1827 and renovated in 1896. It is built of ashlar stone and has a purple slate roof. The building features two bays and a plinth. The entrance is located in the west gable and consists of double board doors set in a projecting stone surround with tie stones. Above the entrance is a stone plaque with a moulded surround that reads 'PROVIDENCE CHAPEL 1827'. There are two rectangular recesses above the entrance that imitate windows, each with large lintels and projecting sills. The gable has coping and a projecting band at the eaves line, and there is a cylindrical chimney shaft with a crenellated top. At the rear, there are two windows with 20th-century frames and blind windows above them. The left and right returns have similar window arrangements. The interior has not been inspected.
