Description

Pear Tree Farmhouse is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, though it has earlier origins. It is constructed of sandstone rubble that has been overbuilt and faced in brick, topped with a pantile roof and featuring brick stacks. The house has a central hallway entry with an outshut at the rear. It stands two storeys high and has three bays. The front features a 20th-century glazed door set beneath a relieving arch, and all windows are 20th-century casements under concrete lintels. The eaves are stepped and dentilled, with raised and tumbled-in gable ends and a swept roof, along with end stacks.
