Description

Hawthorn Farm is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, with later additions and alterations. It is situated on the south side of Kelfield Road in Riccall. The house is constructed of pinkish-brown brick with a cast tile roof. It follows a lobby entry plan and is two storeys high with two windows on the first floor. The entrance is through a 20th-century plank door set within a porch of no special interest. The windows are tripartite nine-pane Yorkshire sashes. A three-course first-floor band is visible. The roof has a ridge stack. Later 18th-century ranges were added to the right and to the front of the original structure.
