Description

Riccall House is an early 19th-century house located on the south side of Main Street, Riccall. The house is constructed of pinkish-brown brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with ashlar dressings, and has a pantile roof. It follows a central hallway plan. The house is two storeys high and originally three bays wide. The central entrance features a six-panel door with a decorative fanlight, set within a recessed surround and a fluted Roman Doric doorcase incorporating a frieze and modillion hood. Windows are 12-pane casements with ashlar sills and fluted wedge lintels incorporating keystones. The roof is hipped, and there are rear stacks. A single-storey extension has been added to the left side of the building.
