Description

The Robin Cross Boundary Stone is a boundary stone dated 1866, located on the south side of Grinton to Leyburn Road near Ellerton Abbey. It is roughly shaped and stands approximately 1 metre high. The east face of the stone is inscribed with the letters 'S ED....ED', while the south face features crude lettering that reads 'EAP 1866'. This stone was erected by the Erle-Drax family of Ellerton Abbey to mark the boundary of Ellerton Abbey Parish.
