Description

No 14 Market Place is a building that appears to have an 18th-century front, although it was altered in the mid-19th century. The exterior is finished in stucco and has a slate roof. The building has three storeys and consists of one bay. There is a modern shop that extends beyond the original front. The first floor features a canted wooden bay with sash windows, a moulded cornice, and a fretwork valance. The second floor has a cased sash window with channeled voussoirs, which may be an 18th-century feature. The rear of the building is constructed from hammer-dressed limestone, and there is a passage on the north side.
