Description

No 5 Orchard Terrace is a house dating from the late 18th century, with later alterations and an extension. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble and features a pantile roof with a rebuilt brick chimney stack. The building has a single cell, direct-entry plan, and a rear extension. It is two storeys high with a single window front and irregular quoins. To the left, there is a 20th-century half-glazed door, and to the right, a two-light, small-pane horizontal sliding sash window with a stone sill. A similar window is located on the first floor. All openings have heavy milled lintels, and there is a chimney stack at the right end.
